Hello and welcome to The Arts Site! The Arts Site is a free arts website where you can share your creative genius with the whole of the world. On The Arts Site you can: Receive critique, encouragement and positive feedback on all of your work. Add your artwork to your own individual galleries which are then showcased in our main Gallery area. Upload your own music which can be accessed and listened too by millions of visitors and members. Let people read excerpts from or whole pieces of your stories, poems, songs etc. Write online journals (tell everyone about your creativity). Sell your work online. You control the pricing of your work – and decide how much you’d like to be paid (The Arts Site doesn’t charge a commission – in fact we don’t charge anything at all – why should we, you did all the hard work)! Profiles Your Profile is your portal to The Arts Site and contains a summary of all the latest information relevant to you as a member, your latest, Art Galleries, Videos, Events, Journals and more. Visitors are able to navigate to all of your content just by viewing your profile, Profiles are easily customizable and you can add as many information box 'Widgets' as you like. Information box's are dragable, so you can place them anywhere on your page you like.
The Wire The wire, The Arts Sites' microblogging service. Members can post to The Wire and keep their friends up to date on their latest/next adventure. Members can also link up The Wire to their Twitter account so that everytime you make a post to The Wire, it will also show up on your Twitter!
The Community The Community is a comprehensive activity stream which provides an at-a-glance look at activity from across the whole site, as well as your friends' activity and your own actions. You can also see and create The Arts Sites' Groups and participate in group discussions. You can filter the activity stream to only include particular tools or types of actions, making this a powerful way to stay up to date with the site.
Events The Events calander will keep you up to date with all members events, exhibitions etc. Members can add their own events and import all details into their Profile.
Notifications You can keep track of what your friends are doing through the notification method of your choice. Choose whose activity you want to subscribe to, and have it delivered using the notification method of your choice. Emails, private messages, and more. Of course this also means that your freinds and contacts can keep track of your activities making it easier for people to find your new work!
